Russellville Commons is a 600-unit three phase apartment/retail transit oriented complex. Phase I, completed in 1999, received Builder Magazine's 2000 Builder's Choice Design Merit Award. With encouragement from the City of Portland, a vacant school site was sub-divided and the grid pattern of the surrounding city blocks was continued. The combination of 283 flats and townhouses line the newly created streets and park blocks that connect the complex with the community center, a daycare and Portland's light rail.
